# Start a RevBDE run

> Homolytic bond-dissociation energies (r2SCAN-3c // GFN2-xTB) of a neutral closed-shell molecule: all C–H, all C–X, or chosen atoms and fragments.

Starts a run and returns it with status `queued`; poll GET /v1/runs/{runId} until it finishes. Runs spend credits.

**Limits:** `maxAtoms`: 400, `maxFragments`: 200.

How the engine works and how to read its results: [RevBDE documentation](/docs/revbde).

**Scope:** `runs:write`.
