# Connect Claude

> Add the Revilico MCP server as a connector in Claude on the web and desktop or in Claude Code, check that it works, and fix common connection issues.

**Claude (web and desktop)**

Connectors you add on the web also appear in the Claude desktop app, and the other way round.

1. Open [Claude](https://claude.ai) and go to **Customize → Connectors**.
2. Add a custom connector. Name it `Revilico` and enter this URL:

   ```text theme={null}
   https://mcp.revilico.bio/mcp
   ```
3. Click **Connect**, sign in to Revilico and click **Allow**.

Then ask Claude something like "Which Revilico engines can I use?". If Claude doesn't use Revilico, check the connector is turned on in the conversation's tools menu.

> [!NOTE]
>
> On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner first adds the connector under **Organization settings → Connectors**. Members then click **Connect** and sign in with their own Revilico account.

**Claude Code**

1. Add the server:

   ```bash theme={null}
   claude mcp add --transport http revilico https://mcp.revilico.bio/mcp
   ```

   Add `--scope user` to make it available in all your projects, not only the current one.
2. In Claude Code, run `/mcp`, select **revilico** and choose **Authenticate**.
3. Sign in to Revilico in the browser that opens and click **Allow**.

Check the connection with `/mcp`: **revilico** shows as connected with its tools.

For scripts and CI, where no browser can open, connect with an [API key](https://docs.revilico.bio/developers/mcp/api-key.md#claude-code) instead.

## Check it works

Ask Claude:

> Which Revilico engines can I use, and what does RevRedox need as input?

Claude calls `list_engines` and `get_engine` and answers from your account. The first time it uses a tool, Claude may ask you to approve the call.

## Troubleshooting

| Problem | What to do |
| - | - |
| The sign-in page says the app can't connect | Remove the connector and add it again with the exact URL above. |
| Claude says it has no Revilico tools | Check **Revilico** is turned on for the conversation, or run `/mcp` in Claude Code. |
| Calls fail with `API_ACCESS_NOT_ENABLED` | API and MCP access isn't enabled for your organization. [Contact us](https://calendly.com/christopher-korban/support-meeting). |
| Calls fail with `ENGINE_NOT_ENABLED` | Your plan doesn't include that engine. |
| Some tools are missing | You unticked their permissions when you allowed the app. Disconnect it under **Developer → Connected apps** and connect again. |
